Equipment and Capabilities

The Cape Area Volunteer Fire Department (CAVFD) currently has a Fire Engine and Booster truck. Additionally, the CAVFD has a boat for water rescues with both radar and sonar capabilities to help locate drowning victims. The boat also has firefighting capabilities.

The CAVFD currently has an application and fundraiser to acquire a drone to help locate missing persons in land and water, fugitives, and to assist Special Response Teams (SRT).

If you would like to donate to the CAVFD, you can mail a check payable to "Cape Area VFD" at P.O. BOX 1608, Coldspring, TX 77331 or drop a check off at the Cape Royale POA office.
